Over two days, I spent about five hours in this impressionante place. According to one of the exhibits, when the Bourbons took over the Spanish throne in the late 18th Century, they decided that the the religion of Mexico was no longer orthodox Christianity, but a syncretism of Catholicism and indigenous belief.
