Waiting to get back in 4/20
At this point, the cops were letting anyone back in who lived on floors 1 to 5. Eventually, they let those of us who live on floors 7 to 9 back in (with the warning that your apartment door might have been kicked in — luckily, I live on the other end of the building, and my door was intact.) And as for the people who on the 6th floor – well, they are out of luck. There was also a team of Red Cross volunteers who showed up and did their best to give us some information and communication (and blankets, water, and so on).
