Camilo
One of the major works currently in the repertory of Teatro La Candelaria, Camilo is a theatrical exploration of the issues involved in the life of Camilo Torres Restrepo, a Colombian priest, intellectual, sociologist, and one of the founders of liberation theology, especially the conflict (for him) between the meaningless hierarchical games of the Catholic Church and imperative of serving, and more important, following the poor. Eventually Camilo decided to join the revolution, as a common guerrillero in ELN. He died in the first battle he was involved in.
